The American Legion Boys’ Nation is a prestigious, week-long civic leadership program held annually in Washington, D.C., for 100 high school juniors who have already participated in their state’s Boys State program. Delegates, called “senators,” participate in a hands-on simulation of the U.S. Senate, including mock elections, legislative sessions, and party conventions. The program is designed to cultivate leadership, civic responsibility, and a deeper understanding of American democracy.
