The World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships (WIDPSC) is an annual international competition where high school students from around the world compete in English-language speaking and debate events. Organized by the Independent Public Speaking Association, the tournament spans five to six days and features five events: parliamentary debate, impromptu speaking, interpretive reading, persuasive speaking, and after-dinner speaking, with competitors required to participate in four of the five. Students advance through preliminary rounds before competing in finals against the top speakers from dozens of countries.
