The University of Florida Student Science Training Program (UF SSTP) is a highly selective, seven-week residential research program for rising high school seniors interested in careers in science, medicine, math, computer science, or engineering. Students are paired with UF faculty scientists and their research teams, gaining hands-on experience across disciplines including clinical research, bench research, engineering, and fieldwork. The program is open to students worldwide, though spots for non-Florida residents are limited, and need-based scholarships are available to offset the $5,500 program cost. UF SSTP offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience authentic university-level research before even beginning college.
Designing studies, testing hypotheses, and drawing evidence-based conclusions.
