The National Institutes of Health Summer Internship Program is a prestigious, fully funded research opportunity where high school seniors and college students spend the summer conducting full-time scientific research at one of the world's leading biomedical research institutions. Participants are embedded in real research groups led by accomplished Principal Investigators across NIH's many Institutes and Centers, working on projects in biology, behavioral science, and beyond. Positions are available at NIH's main campus in Bethesda, Maryland, as well as several other locations across the country. For students passionate about science and medicine, this is one of the most immersive and competitive research experiences available to young people in the United States.
