The MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute is a rigorous and highly immersive STEM program designed for high school students, particularly those entering their senior year, who are interested in advanced engineering and technology fields. Hosted by MIT and MIT Lincoln Laboratory, the program centers on intensive, project based learning where students work in teams to solve real world problems in areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and aerospace systems. Over the course of the four week program, participants take part in workshop style classes, hands on labs, and large scale collaborative projects that often culminate in a final competition or demonstration. The institute emphasizes technical skill development, teamwork, and innovation, while exposing students to cutting edge technologies and giving them experience similar to real engineering and research environments.
