The Naval Academy Summer STEM Program is a week-long, residential experience held at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, designed for rising 9th through 11th graders with a strong interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Participants engage in hands-on academic modules led by USNA faculty and midshipmen, exploring topics such as reverse engineering, robotics, and programming. The program also includes team-building activities, field trips to local museums, and social events like a picnic and shaved ice night, providing a comprehensive introduction to STEM fields in a collegiate environment. The program fee covers lodging, meals, transportation to and from Baltimore/Washington International Airport, and all scheduled activities. Applications for the program typically open in January, with sessions scheduled in June for different grade levels.
