Stanford AI4ALL is a highly selective two week summer program designed to introduce high school students, specifically current ninth graders, to artificial intelligence through rigorous academic study, hands on research, and mentorship. Hosted by Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies in partnership with the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, the program aims to expand access to AI education while encouraging students to explore how artificial intelligence can be used to address meaningful societal challenges. Participants choose from research areas such as computer vision, medical AI, natural language processing, or robotics, and engage in lectures, small group projects, and mentorship from Stanford faculty, graduate students, and industry professionals. The curriculum emphasizes both technical foundations and the ethical, social, and human centered implications of AI, helping students understand not only how AI works but also how it can shape the world responsibly. Offered in both online and residential formats, the program combines collaborative learning, career exploration, and exposure to cutting edge technology, giving students an early opportunity to build confidence and skills in one of the fastest growing fields in science and technology.
