The MIT Women's Technology Program is a highly selective four week summer academic program designed to introduce high school students to engineering through hands on learning and collaborative problem solving. Hosted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, it is specifically aimed at students who excel in math and science but have little or no prior experience in engineering, helping them explore whether the field is a good fit. Participants take part in intensive classes, labs, and team based projects, often culminating in design challenges and presentations that mirror real engineering work. The program also emphasizes building a supportive and inclusive community, particularly encouraging students from groups that are underrepresented in engineering, while fostering confidence, curiosity, and interest in pursuing STEM fields in the future.
