The Young Scholars Internship Program (YSP) is a paid five-week summer internship offered by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences for students in grades 10 through 12. Selected students are placed in supervised research positions at UGA's Athens, Griffin, or Tifton campuses, where they work 30 hours per week alongside faculty mentors on original projects in agricultural, food, and environmental science. Participants also attend workshops and visit real agricultural operations to explore potential career paths in these fields. It is a rare opportunity for high school students to gain hands-on research experience at a major research university while earning a paycheck.
