The CURE Research Internship Program is a free, 8-week summer internship offered by the University of California San Francisco for high school juniors and community college students interested in health careers and biomedical research. Participants work 40 hours per week alongside UCSF faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students, conducting hands-on research in fields ranging from basic and clinical science to behavioral and population health. Interns conclude the program by presenting their findings at a research symposium, gaining real experience in a world-class academic medical environment. It is one of the most competitive and rewarding opportunities available to young students with a passion for science and medicine.
