The Teen Research and Education in Environmental Science (TREES) Program is an educational initiative through Penn State's College of Health and Human Development that immerses high school students in hands-on environmental science research. Participants develop skills in scientific inquiry, research methodology, and environmental education while gaining exposure to environmental health sciences and ecological concepts. The program fosters a deeper understanding of sustainability and prepares students for future study and careers in the environmental sciences. For students passionate about science and the natural world, TREES offers a rare opportunity to conduct real research alongside one of the nation's leading universities.
