The embARC Summer Design Academy is a four-week college-level program hosted by UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design for high school students passionate about architecture, urban design, and sustainable city planning. Held on the UC Berkeley campus each July, students engage in rigorous studio coursework, Bay Area field trips, and a real design and build project for a community nonprofit organization. Participants develop hands-on technical skills in freehand sketching, drafting, model-building, and digital representation while experiencing life at one of the nation's top public universities. It is an exceptional opportunity for aspiring designers to explore their interests in a serious, professional academic environment.
