Applied Research Innovations in Science and Engineering (ARISE) is a free 10-week summer program offered by NYU K12 STEM Education at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, open to rising juniors and seniors who are full-time NYC residents attending NYC schools. Students spend the first four weeks building foundational skills in lab safety, college writing, and research methods before transitioning into hands-on work in one of over 80 NYU research laboratories. There, participants collaborate directly with faculty and researchers on real-world projects across a wide range of scientific and engineering fields. ARISE is a remarkable opportunity for motivated high school students to gain authentic research experience at one of the country's leading universities, completely free of charge.
