Year-long

MIT PRIMES (Program for Research in Mathematics, Engineering and Science for High School Students) is a free, year-long research program offered by MIT that pairs high school sophomores and juniors with MIT researchers to tackle genuine unsolved problems in mathematics and applied mathematics. The program operates across several sections, including MIT PRIMES for Greater Boston students, PRIMES-USA for students nationwide through distance mentoring, PRIMES Circle for spring-term math enrichment, and Yulia's Dream for exceptional Ukrainian high school students. Students spend the year conducting original research alongside some of the brightest mathematical minds in the world, an experience that few high schoolers anywhere have access to. For students with a serious passion for mathematics, MIT PRIMES represents one of the most rigorous and rewarding research opportunities available at the high school level.
