The Research Science Institute (RSI) at MIT is a six-week, fully residential program that brings together around 80 of the world’s most talented rising high school seniors for advanced STEM research. Participants spend the first week in intensive college-level coursework, followed by five weeks conducting original research projects under the guidance of MIT faculty and researchers. The program culminates with a written research paper and oral presentation, and is considered one of the most prestigious and selective summer opportunities for high school students.
