The MTNA Competitions are annual music performance and composition contests organized by the Music Teachers National Association, a professional organization with over 150 years of service to music educators. Student musicians compete in divisions spanning Piano, Piano Duet, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Voice, and Composition, performing prepared repertoire or submitting original works for evaluation by professional musicians and educators. State-level competitions serve as qualifying rounds for the national championship, where the most talented young musicians in the country compete on a prestigious stage. It is one of the most respected music competitions available to high school students and offers an exceptional opportunity to grow as a performer and earn national recognition.
