The Summer Arts Institute (SAI) is a free, four-week arts program offered by NYC Public Schools' Arts Office for middle and high school students across New York City. Students major in one of seven disciplines, including dance, theater, concert band, strings orchestra, vocal music, film, or visual arts, and train directly with professional artists from world-renowned organizations such as American Ballet Theatre, Carnegie Hall, the New York Philharmonic, and the Ghetto Film School. Through intensive studio work, rehearsals, professional performances, and visits to premier arts venues, students develop their craft at an exceptionally high level. SAI is a remarkable opportunity for young artists to immerse themselves in their passion while learning from some of the most prestigious arts institutions in the world, all at no cost.
