Med-Start Health Careers Program is a six-week residential summer program offered by the University of Arizona that prepares high school juniors for careers in health professions. Participants live on campus from early June through mid-July, taking college-level courses in English, chemistry, and mathematics alongside professional lectures, hands-on lab experiences, and field trips to health care facilities. The program is run in collaboration with the Arizona Area Health Education Centers, giving students access to real-world medical environments and professional networks. It is an exceptional opportunity for motivated students who are serious about pursuing a future in medicine or health care.
