The Annenberg Youth Academy for Media and Civic Engagement is a three-week summer intensive program hosted by the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, open to 26 talented high school students from communities surrounding USC's campuses. Participants engage in college-level coursework covering media communications, journalism, writing, critical thinking, public speaking, multimedia production, interviewing, and ethnography. The program offers students a meaningful look at USC Annenberg's undergraduate programs and career pathways in media and journalism. It is a selective and immersive opportunity for students passionate about storytelling, civic engagement, and the future of communications.
