Summer Shakespeare is a free, highly selective five-week summer intensive program offered by the Stella Adler Center for the Arts for high school students in New York City. Just 22 students are chosen each year to participate in 50 hours of training across voice, movement, ensemble work, and scene study. The program culminates in a full production of an abbreviated Shakespeare play, challenging students to rapidly develop professional theatrical skills under expert guidance. For NYC students with financial need and limited access to arts programming, Summer Shakespeare offers a rare and exceptional opportunity to train at one of the most respected acting institutions in the country.
