The International Thespian Society (ITS) is an honor society for theatre students in grades 6–12 that recognizes excellence in dramatic arts through a points-based membership system earned via acting, backstage work, and leadership roles. Founded in 1929 and now boasting over 139,000 active members across 48 states and international chapters, ITS offers students the opportunity to compete and perform at state and national Thespian Festivals. It is one of the most established and respected organizations available to students passionate about theatre and the performing arts.
