The Carnegie Mellon Summer Academy for Math and Science (SAMS) is a six-week program that supports high school students from underrepresented and underserved communities who are passionate about STEM. Participants take rigorous courses in math and science, engage in hands-on projects, and build strong academic foundations for college. Alongside academics, SAMS emphasizes mentorship, leadership development, and community building. The program helps students prepare for higher education while experiencing life at Carnegie Mellon.
