AmeriCorps is a federal service program that engages students and young adults in addressing critical community challenges through national service opportunities across the country. Participants choose from multiple service pathways, including AmeriCorps NCCC, AmeriCorps State and National, and AmeriCorps VISTA, serving full-time or part-time alongside partner organizations in six key focus areas: disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans support. Members gain hands-on professional experience while making a meaningful impact in communities that need it most. AmeriCorps is one of the most rewarding ways for high school and college-aged students to develop real-world skills while giving back to the nation.
