The Thomas and Evon Cooper International Competition is a prestigious annual music competition hosted by Oberlin College and Conservatory, open to outstanding young musicians between the ages of 13 and 18. Founded in 2010, the competition alternates each year between piano and violin, with performance rounds spanning several days before culminating in a finals concert where the top three competitors perform a full concerto with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra. It is one of the most distinguished international competitions available to pre-college musicians, drawing exceptional talent from around the world.
