Future Game Designers is a free, intensive 14-week workshop hosted by NYU Tisch School of the Arts that introduces high school students in grades 9 through 11 to digital game development, tabletop game design, and game industry concepts. The program is hands-on and lab-based, with students working both individually and in teams to build a series of digital game prototypes, culminating in a final polished game project. Participants develop practical game development skills and tools while also exploring game history and critical frameworks for understanding the medium. It is a rare opportunity to receive professional, university-level training in game design at no cost.
