University of New Hampshire Upward Bound is a free federal TRIO program funded by the U.S. Department of Education that provides comprehensive academic, college, and career support to high school students in Farmington, Somersworth, Spaulding, and Manchester, New Hampshire. The program serves 114 students year-round, combining services during the academic year with a summer residential academy at UNH. Students gain the skills needed for high school graduation and college success through a structured, supportive environment. Established in 1966, UNH Upward Bound is one of the most longstanding and impactful college preparation programs available to students in the region.
