Alexandria House is a nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing and support services for women and children in need, and high school students can volunteer year-round through a variety of meaningful programs. Volunteers contribute their time and talents in roles such as the Top Chef meal preparation program, after-school tutoring, child care assistance, community food pantry distribution, and seasonal camp support. The experience is completely free to participate in and offers students the opportunity to build genuine connections with residents while making a direct impact in their community. Alexandria House is an excellent way for students to develop compassion, leadership, and a deeper sense of civic responsibility.
