College-Ready Writing: Personal and Academic, Both! is a two-week summer writing workshop offered by UCLA Center X for students in grades 9 through 12. Participants develop their personal academic voice by exploring multiple genres, including poetry, narrative essays, and argumentative writing, while engaging with meaningful social issues through reading and debate. The program is available in two formats, either in-person at UCLA or online, both running on weekday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is an excellent opportunity for students looking to strengthen their writing skills and build the academic foundation needed for college success.
