The SEES High School Summer Intern Program is a nationally competitive STEM internship hosted by the University of Texas Center for Space Research that gives motivated high school students the opportunity to conduct authentic NASA research alongside scientists, engineers, and industry professionals. The program runs from mid-May through late July, combining distance learning modules, remote mentored project work, and a two-week on-site internship experience in Austin, Texas. Interns present their findings at a virtual science symposium, gaining real experience communicating research to a scientific audience. It is one of the most rigorous and prestigious STEM opportunities available to high school students with a passion for space science and exploration.
