Destination Imagination is a national STEAM competition where teams of students in grades 3 through 12 collaborate to solve open-ended creative challenges spanning science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Teams spend the entire school year, from August through May, developing solutions that emphasize innovation, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving. Participants compete at regional, state, and global tournaments, where they are evaluated on their creativity and teamwork. It is one of the most distinctive academic competitions available to students, building essential life skills like public speaking, empathy, and resilience along the way.
