YoungArts is a highly prestigious national arts competition and talent development program for high school students ages 15 to 18 that recognizes excellence in visual, literary, and performing arts. Each year, thousands of students apply across disciplines such as music, dance, writing, film, photography, theater, and design, submitting portfolios or auditions that are evaluated by panels of accomplished artists and professionals. Selected winners receive monetary awards, national recognition, and access to a wide range of opportunities, including mentorship, workshops, and professional development experiences. Top award recipients are invited to National YoungArts Week in Miami, an intensive program where they collaborate with other talented students and work closely with internationally recognized artists to refine their craft. Beyond the competition, YoungArts provides ongoing support, including grants, creative opportunities, and a lifelong network of artists that helps participants continue developing their work and careers. The program emphasizes artistic excellence, creative growth, and professional development, and many winners go on to become leaders in their artistic fields.
